Miscellaneous Designs

In 1999, following a tragic family accident, I received the most beautiful piece of needlework from a customer  -  Jacqueline Carbines  -

whom I had never met personally.

The letter accompanying it conveyed that as she was stitching this piece she was praying for us.

She had decided to stitch some flowers for me

as they would not fade as real ones.

The piece that she designed was so lovely that I asked her if I could publish this design.

Consequently the design - Flowers for Sherelyn Band Sampler - was published

and subsequently a complementary piece  -  Floral Silhouette  - was published

which is a silhouette of the original design but with different decorative stitches between each Blackwork band.

Since that time, with their permission, other designs by New Zealand designers have been published.

Marjorie Irwin,  Olwyn Horwood  &   Linda Graham
