Sampler Blessings Needlework Challenge
January 2025
~
At the beginning of each new year, my lovely friend, Gigi of GigiR Designs challenges needlewomen
to begin and finish stitching a sampler in the month of January.

Her words ... "To be true to our tradition of starting a sampler on January 1st
and to be blessed all throughout the year,
if it is finished by the end of the month"

As per usual myself and many needlework friends take up this challenge.
The new year of 2025 is not too far away.

Each November several sampler design options are suggested
and when advised of your choice of design
(without or with requested fabric and threads)
it will be sent to you so that you can begin on the first day of January.

Would you like to participate in the challenge?

If so, please advise by email : barberryrow@outlook.co.nz
and you will be contacted with the choices of sampler designs.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
Your Needlework Friend,
Sherelyn

Devastating Flood
~ 14 February 2023 ~
We are gradually recovering from our traumatic experience of a devastating flood in our area
which destroyed everything we treasured and had acquired during our 52 years of marriage
- home, vehicles, possessions, photos, family heirlooms, historical genealogical documents, orchard property and the Heirlooms Needlework Gallery
(all needlework stock and over 500 needlework pieces I had worked since I was a girl) -
and almost our lives.

As can be seen above
I have begun the restoration of the needlework gallery at our new location with my favourite items
- fabrics, threads, accessories -
my designs and designs from designers who are personal friends.
I have also begun designing again.

Our sincerest and humble thanks for all the love, care, concern and gifts received throughout this difficult time.
Sincerely appreciated.
May God richly bless you in return.

Your Needlework Friend,
Sherelyn
